I finished BOTH of my sheer dresses this past weekend!

YAY!

Well, I still gotta do hooks and eyes, but hey, they are petty much done, other than that. I might sew the hooks and eyes on later this week, though I'm not sure if I have any....

Yesturday, I didn't do much sewing since we where baby sitting Zoie most of the day. I did finish off the piping of the neckline and did the gathers on both bodices and when I went to baby-sit yesturday night, I gathered both skirts (after Baby went to sleep of course ( Read more... )

Today....I did alot of sewing. First thing I did was try on my bodices of my sheer dresses to make sure they fit. I had to do some tweaking of my plaid dress. Seems that when I cut it out, I either had pinned the pattern on wrong or there was a wrinkle in the fabric or maybe both. Today, I did alot of sewing! I sewed both bodices of both of my summer dresses together, sewed the side seams in the skirts, pressed the hems, hemed the sleeves of the plaid dress, and finished the fills for the stiped dress. The fabric for my striped sheer dress came today! I was so surpirsed! I was not expecting it to come until Tuesday or Wendesday! And I love it! So light weight and crisp! Today, I drew out some skeches for my summer dresses as I now know for sure what I want to do for my summer dresses! I also drafted patterns of the bodices too. Tomorrow, I'm going to put the muslins together, maybe cut out my plaid dress too, depending on how productive I am feeling.
